Building A Modern Farmhouse

100 Days Into Our Home Build

100 Days Since Breaking Ground

It’s hard to believe that yesterday marked 100 days since our sweet little girl, Olivia broke the ground on our modern farmhouse (click here for our Ground Breaking Photos). So much has happened in a short timeframe. This week the board and batten siding is going up, the roof is almost finished, and the drywall is about to start.

And of course, I am overwhelmed by the amount of encouragement and support I’ve received from the amazing community of followers on Instagram. Thank you to all of you who have decided to follow along and encourage us as we build our forever home. I love how on Day 100 we reached 400 Instagram Followers. Thank you all!

You may be wondering about the top photo I used for this post. This is a paint swatch of Benjamin Moore’s Brilliant White (BM PM4). We have decided to use this color (BM PM-4) for the exterior of our house. I went to the local paint store yesterday and here are our final paint selection colors we’ve chosen for our modern farmhouse:

  • Interior Trim (and shiplap): BM OC-118 Snowfall White
  • Interior Wall Color: BM OC-26 Silver Satin
  • Exterior: BM PM-4 Brilliant White
  • Exterior Doors ONLY: BM PM-9 Black

Thank you again for following along! We are humbled and thrilled to have you along for the journey.
